Dr. Downing performed my right thumb tendon transfer in a timely manner from my consultation with him on March 5 2025. My surgery was scheduled for March 17th at Ortho 1 state of the art surgery center. Every staff member was attentive, kind, compassionate and professional. My tendon transfer was a complete success. My post op visits were great Dr. Downing always answered my questions and concerns never made me feel rushed. He explained the process of surgery, follow-up and occupational therapy. I've seen Dr James Andry several times now. He's very thorough and will take time to answer your questions so come prepared. I'm a nurse and so I appreciate his answering all of my questions. He's very encouraging but doesn't sugar coat either. He expects you to follow instructions and perform your physical exercises regularly at home.
